How It Works

1

Application

You apply for a rating of one or more Contractors you need to be rated before making a decision to use one of them to do work for you.

2

Contractor Supplies References

We contact the Contractor on your behalf, requesting them to supply us with 5 to 10 of their contactable references where they did work over the last 6 to 12 months.

3

Verification

We contact those references (past clients) and ask them to rate their experience with the specific Contractor and the work they did for them.

4

Rating

We use a set formula to convert the feedback we received from the Contractor's references, to a 'customer satisfaction score' out of 5, and then issue a Star Rating, based on their satisfaction score.

5

Your Decision

You may then use the contractor's Star Rating to assure yourself of their reputation for good work, before you contract them.
Obviously, a contractor with a higher rating can be expected to be more reliable than another contractor with a lower rating.
A low or no rating, or the Contractor's unwillingness to supply references, may be a warning to proceed with caution, as far as that specific contractor is concerned.
